The show is focused around Rothko and Ken's relationship as well as their ideas on art. Throughout the show, they play music off a record player creating an underscore for many scenes. Most of the music is classical pieces by Mozart or Schubert as Rothko listens to those composers. The music was used to heighten the emotional scenes and conversation between Rothko and Ken. I wanted to choose dynamic pieces that would switch between emotional highs and lows.
