This show was a modern dance take on the famous play Romeo and Juliet. This adaptation was based in a world of electronic music and a dystopian world view. It was done in a full brick and concrete space. It posed a challenge to mix while also handling electronic music. It was important for the voices to be heard over.

Guys and Dolls had a full orchestra that I was mixing. The horn section also doubled as percussion during the Havana dance number, which changed some of the EQ for certain cues. The music was fairly traditional broadway style music with some Jazz numbers, and Latin style music also.

The band for Spring Awakening was located on stage which posed a challenge for the balance between vocals and instruments. I was in charge of mixing the band. The set also was made of metal making the mixing for the band having to fight with the banging of the metal. It was important that the bad could be heard clearly and still have its full sound.
