The focus of this show was highlighting the lives of multiple black women and also the struggles and joys faced in their lives. One of the things I wanted to do was bring out the culture through music. All of the music choices were based on black jazz musicians and artists. The sound effects were used to highlight dramatic moments, but not take away from the words being spoken. The biggest hurdle was adding sound to not overdramatize the scenes, but rather to emphasize location and the emotions felt.
